SunCarrier / SkyCarrier | The earth follows the sun - our systems do the same
 


As the largest source of energy on the planet, the sun delivers approximately 1.08 × 1018 kilowatt hours (kWh) to the earth’s surface annually, about 10,000 times the world’s primary energy requirements. The most advanced solar modules, which convert solar energy into electricity, are making an increasingly important contribution to meeting this demand. Solar modules can only reach their full potential when they are optimally oriented towards the sun. a+f GmbH offers the most robust, technologically advanced and affordable tracking systems on the market. They are built to adjust solar module surfaces continuously to the sun’s current position, delivering energy yields up to 35% higher than stationary systems.
SunCarrier: The SunCarrier system positions photovoltaic modules on a slanted surface (up to 40° from the horizontal plane) and rotates them (along the horizontal plane) to keep the modules continuously oriented exactly towards the sun. As a result of this design, SunCarrier is ideally suited for open-air installations between the 25th and 55th parallels, and produces yield increases of up to 35% compared to systems with a fixed Southern orientation.
SkyCarrier: The best installation areas for SkyCarrier are near the equator. The sun angle there is up to 90°, so that only horizontal tracking of the photovoltaic modules guarantees an optimal orientation towards the sun. The rotary axis of the SkyCarrier moves the module surface at an angle of up to ± 60° in relation to the horizontal plane.
